When Worlds Collide: A Keynote, a Son’s Pride, and an Unforgettable Day.

About two weeks ago I had something incredibly special happen to me, a memory that I will treasure forever. For the first time, my son had the chance to hear me deliver a keynote speech. At 16, he's enjoying his summer break, and since my keynote was nearby, I asked if he'd like to join me as my videographer and photographer for the day.

We arrived early to the venue and walked through the space, discussing the different shots I wanted to capture. As we moved around, I introduced him to several industry colleagues. He handled everything with such poise and professionalism that it made me beam with pride.

The keynote itself went wonderfully. The feedback I received was overwhelmingly positive, with many attendees sharing how much the talk resonated with them. But the moment that truly made the day unforgettable was when my son hugged me tightly after the event. He looked at me with admiration and said, "Mom, I'm so proud of you."

In that instant, all the praise and accolades from the audience paled in comparison to my son's heartfelt words. His pride and support were the perfect culmination to an already incredible experience, reminding me why I do what I do and who I strive to be my best for every single day.
