Trust Your Training
Most people know what to do.
The real struggle is trusting themselves enough to actually do it when it matters most.
Think about it…
The athlete standing at the free-throw line.
The student walking into a final exam.
The professional stepping up to deliver a presentation.
The principle is the same:
You’ve already put in the work.
You’ve already done the reps.
You’ve already prepared for this moment.
But here’s where so many of us get stuck: instead of letting our preparation rise to the surface, we overthink. We second-guess. We try to will confidence into existence instead of realizing confidence is already built through repetition, effort, and consistency.
The tipping point isn’t more training… it’s more trust.
Confidence Isn’t Magic
Confidence doesn’t wait for the perfect conditions to show up. It steps in the moment you stop overthinking and allow your preparation to take over. That’s when your training, your practice, and your hard work carry you forward.
I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately. It’s why I recently ordered these Athlete Mindset Cards for myself and for my boys, who are athletes.

Because I don’t just want this message tucked away in the back of our minds—I want it in our faces, daily. I want us to be reminded, no matter what the outcome of the day looks like, that confidence and grit are built on mindset and hard work.
Applicable Everywhere
This isn’t just about sports.
It’s about life.
It’s about leadership.
It’s about parenting.
Trust your training when:
You’re navigating a tough conversation with your team.
You’re guiding your kids through challenges.
You’re facing the unknown in your business.
Big moments don’t create who you are… they reveal who you’ve already become.
Today’s Reminder
Stop waiting for more motivation.
Stop doubting if you’re ready.
Stop overthinking.
You’ve already done the work.
Now trust it.
Ep. 177: How to Rise, Lead & Heal After Workplace Toxicity with Kaitlyn Rios (Part 2)
What if the biggest danger of a toxic workplace isn’t burnout… but silence?
In Part 2, Kaitlyn Rios gets raw about the hidden cost of ignoring mental health, the stigma that keeps women suffering in silence, and why the hardest—and most life-changing—step is asking for help.
She also shares her bold plan to prepare the next generation of women to spot toxicity before it ever has the chance to break them.
This conversation will shake you, challenge you, and push you to advocate for yourself in a way you may never have before.
