Make it an amazing week, friend!

🚩 What are Resignation Red Flags? 🚩

You have taken the time to recruit someone, interview them, train them and onboard them. That is a big investment of time and money. This week we aren’t talking retention…we are talking how to spot changes in your people that signal they may be heading for the door.

  1. Unexpected attitude or personality changes

  2. Increased “time off” requests

  3. Decrease in productivity

  4. Declining work performance

  5. Not engaging with co-workers

  6. Minimally responses to email communication

  7. Coming to work more “dressed up” than normal.

“Quiet Quitting” is a real trend, but if you are paying attention to the signs, you may be able to recognize what is happening before it implodes. People are creatures of habit and when they are starting to “check out” or have delays or disruptions to their work patterns or behaviors, it can leave you scratching your head. When you notice anything “off” for someone on your team, pull them aside and speak with them privately. Share with them your observations and inquire about what may be going on. If you can help change the circumstances, do. If not, you will hopefully know their intentions after having an honest conversation with them.

Tell me something good 🎵🎶🎵🎶

With all that is going on in the world today, this is a weekly opportunity for us to share something good that has happened to us recently. Seriously. If you respond to this email, you get me. I’d love to hear from you!

The good news for this week is that after a considerable time studying and preparing, my husband just took and passed his test for his General Contractors License!!!🎉🎉🎉

He and his business partner already own a couple of companies, but they were limited in what they could do without this piece. This licensing will allow him to take his business to the next level and be a full blown construction company. I am so dadgum proud of him!!

Challenge for the week: Pick 1 or do both:

  1. Hand write someone a thank you card….gratitude is such a big gesture, especially when someone isn’t expecting it.

  2. Leave someone a wonderful 5 star review. Maybe it’s a business, or a salesperson, or server from a restaurant. If someone went above and beyond for you lately, make sure to put their name in the review.

Making someone else smile is contagious enough to cause a smile on your face as well. When you smile, your brain releases dopamine, endorphins and serotonin. These neurotransmitters are associated with lowering your anxiety and increasing feelings of happiness. That is a win-win!

A quote that I've been sitting with this week:

“Vision is born in the soul of a man or woman who is consumed with the tension between what is and what could be.”
