Embracing Failure as Fuel: How Champions Turn Setbacks into Success🔥

Learning to embrace failure as a learning opportunity and a stepping stone towards success is not an easy process. It takes going through the really hard stuff, analyzing what went wrong, and coming out on the other side willing to absorb the lesson.

Take into consideration how you responded to a situation that didn’t go exactly as you expected, or, heck maybe it even blew up in your face. What story did you tell yourself about why it didn’t turn out well? Was it self-deprecating or disparaging? The only place those kinds of thoughts or reactions will get you is digging yourself into a hole of self pity.

Choose a different path.

How can you reframe failure it as a temporary setback rather than a permanent defeat?

Cultivate a growth mindset, believing that your abilities and skills can be developed through effort and perseverance. Use failure as motivation to work harder, smarter, and more diligently towards your goals. Be unwilling to give up when you fall down.

Perseverance and resilience are the muscles that are built on the way back up from getting knocked down. Putting in the reps leads you to the understanding that success often requires many attempts.

The people you surround yourself with are incredibly important in the journey towards greatness and you must choose them wisely. Take inventory as there may be a few people in your circle who may not want you to get there. People love when you are average because it makes them comfortable. Be intentional in choosing those who challenge you, stretch you, and hold the bar really high. Choose people who can encourage and inspire you, who will help you up and tell you the truth.

Don’t forget to celebrate small wins along the way to maintain motivation and momentum.

Tell me something good 🎵🎶🎵🎶

With all that is going on in the world today, this is a weekly opportunity for us to share something good that has happened to us recently. Seriously. If you respond to this email, you get me. I’d love to hear from you!

A 5-Year-Old’s Lemonade Stand in Seattle Raised Over $17,000 for Victims of Maui Wildfires

A 5-year-old child from Seattle is showing that there isn't an age requirement for helping others.

Edison Juel was on a family trip on Hawaii's Big Island when the devastating wildfires occurred in the island of Maui. Eddie shared the idea of starting a stand, similar to one he had seen on a previous trip to Colorado, and donating all the money to support victims of the wildfires. Ami said she and her husband immediately supported the idea and set up a lemonade stand on Saturday on their busy Seattle street.

What happened next would surprise everyone!! đź’žCheck out the full article here:

Challenge for the week: Pick 1 or do both:

  1. Donate money to a worthy cause. There is a lot going on in the world that could benefit from even a few extra dollars towards their cause.

  2. Donate your time to a worthy cause. It doesn’t always have to be about money. Your time is a super valuable commodity. Is there a shelter or soup kitchen in your area that you can take the family along with you to serve others?

Making someone else smile is contagious enough to cause a smile on your face as well. When you smile, your brain releases dopamine, endorphins and serotonin. These neurotransmitters are associated with lowering your anxiety and increasing feelings of happiness. That is a win-win!

A quote that I've been sitting with this week:
