Low Battery Warning⚠️ 🪫

In the course of the average day, our cell phone battery will start to run low. If we have a higher usage day, that low battery comes earlier in the day.

Interestingly enough, our bodies can have a physiological response similar to receiving the "low battery warning" that flashes across our phones.📱

We begin to panic and look for our charger because God forbid…our phone dies 🏴‍☠️🪦

Yet, we can run ourselves down to the ground and pay no mind to our own internal low battery warning. 😵

Having an effective self-care routine has been shown to have a number of important health benefits which include:

  • Reduced anxiety and depression

  • Reduced stress and improved resilience

  • Improved happiness

  • Increased energy

  • Decreased burnout

  • Stronger interpersonal relationships

Pay attention to your internal battery level. 🔋Everyone's needs are a little different, but developing a self care routine will serve you in a variety of ways both physically and psychologically.

Am I losing my mind?

Imagine for a moment standing in the middle of a lush forest in Killarney, Ireland and in the distance you hear bagpipes playing. I literally think it’s some sort of Irish psychological effect until I see a young man in front of me actually playing. The societal conditioning kicked in and I quickly pulled out my phone to record (kidding…kind of).

In all fairness, it was a spiritual-like experience that I wanted to be able to share with my family (not present) and others. Something I may never have the opportunity to experience again.

My gift to you is the video. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did. (Couldn't post the video directly on here, so had to link to my LI post with the video)

A quote that I've been sitting with this week:

"Choose to be an alchemist. Turn scars into art, failures into growth, and pain into purpose."
